there stood a flower
wayside of the concrete river
or a cobblestone brook
waiting to be picked
but how does one cross a river
strewn with boulders rushing
lives are to be lost
and a flower is to wither
Agyrophobia- Fear of streets or crossing the street
you’ve never been to my place
is what she said to him
while he nervously
quickened pace
gazing around
it is up
in the foothills
by the woods right?
he asked while his eyes
fixed upon movement up ahead
look!- she exclaimed and failed to answer
was that what i think it was?
she asked while she noticed
he had run off in the
opposite direction
of the little
bunny she
just
spotted
Agrizoophobia - Fear of wild animals
(Its been a while. I find myself inspirationless at times. I’m not at all content with this poem. The thing is though, that this project was meant to force me to write. I may not like this one but it still had me think about things and pick words. So yeah. Thanks for following, lovely people!)
intimacy
it’s not that it specifically
frightens me
it’s just the way
that- for example today
he looked at me innocently
but in his eyes i could see
him violently
crushing my delicacy

a thousand faces
and twice as many eyes
drawing nearer is the moment
that i know inside and out
a thousand feelings
and twice as many doubts
aproaching the door to my house
i know its inside
i never stay out long

a world of pillow and love
my dream is a world above
where the air has no edges
and where my body holds no grudge
against things that may touch it
and my brain will not turn it
into hurt
for i will float in pillow
and love
Agliophobia - Fear of pain
we all have issues
said her pretty voice
so don’t worry about it
please tell me yours
i would really like to know
but how does one explain
being afraid of something
that fear produces
the vicious circle
that is my life
my fear of going mad
drives me mad
and i am so afraid of that
Agateophobia - Fear of insanity
i follow little trails
into the depths of my brain
and search for the one thing
that drives me insane
day and night
into the heart of my soul
i know something is watching me
and taking control
through the mist of memory
and the high toll of time
there appears a familiar figure
it haunts me down the line
waggle waggle waggle
i hear it in my head
quack quack quack quack
the syllables of dread
Anatidaephobia - The fear that some time, somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you.
( I recieved an e-mail from one Jake Slater who reccomended this phobia (which is not on the list). So thank you Jake, this one’s for you! )
